On 14 October 2008, we held a religious ritual called Piodalan.

Piodalan is a Hindu religious ritual which is an offering from the people to God. The purpose of the ritual is to pray for everything on earth to always be blessed by safety and prosperity in the body and the soul.

The Piodalan ritual was held in Parahyangan Somaka Giri (on Plaza Wisnu, Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park) on Purnamaning kapat or the fourth full moon and it was held only once every year. The ritual procession was lead by a holy man or sulinggih which was called Ida Peranda. The offering medium used in this Piodalan ritual was called upakara (bebanten) where the inside was filled with fruits, flowers, incense, and animals arranged in a way according to the literature. Aside from banten, they also offer holy songs and dances, accompanied by gamelan as a unity in the ritual.
